Senior Full Stack DeveloperDublin | Hybrid, 2-3 days per week | €70,000-€80,000MCS Group is partnering with a growing Irish technology company that is building secure, AI-powered software used by businesses across international markets.They're now looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their engineering team as they continue to scale and modernise their platform.This is a role for someone who is comfortable working across a product rather than being boxed into one technology.The environment includes Java, Spring, TypeScript, React, Angular and AWS, but they're not looking for someone who has ticked every single box.They're much more interested in strong engineers who can solve problems, learn unfamiliar technologies and take ownership of what they're building.What you'll be doingYou'll work across a modern, security-focused platform handling real-world customer and business data.Your work will include:Building and improving applications using Java/Spring, TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworksDeveloping and integrating APIs across backend and frontend systemsWorking with React and Angular applicationsBuilding scalable services within AWSImproving existing architecture as the platform continues to evolveWorking with relational databases and optimising performanceTroubleshooting production and application issuesContributing to architectural and technical decisionsUsing AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivityParticipating in code reviews and supporting other engineersWorking closely with product, engineering and other teams to take problems from idea through to productionWhat they're looking forYou'll ideally have around 5+ years of commercial software development experience and a strong background in modern application development.The strongest candidates are will have:Strong Java and Spring experienceCommercial experience with modern frontend development, ideally React or AngularTypeScript and/or JavaScript experienceExperience designing and integrating REST APIsStrong relational database knowledgeCloud experience, ideally AWSGit and CI/CD experienceExperience debugging and improving production applicationsExperience in a start-up or scaling companyYou don't need to be an expert in every technology they use.In fact, they're particularly interested in developers who can demonstrate times they've had to pick up an unfamiliar language, framework or technology and become productive with it.The type of person who will do wellTechnical ability is important, but this isn't an environment where you'll simply be handed perfectly defined tickets.You'll be trusted to work things out.They want someone who:Takes ownership of problemsIs comfortable working autonomouslyAsks the right questions when requirements aren't clearSpots opportunities to improve products and processesEnjoys learning new technologiesCan collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleaguesThinks about the wider product rather than only their individual taskWhy join?You'll be joining an established Irish technology business while the engineering platform is going through an interesting period of growth and modernisation.You'll have the opportunity to influence how systems are built rather than simply maintaining an established codebase.The wider package includes:€70,000-€80,000 salary28 days annual leave, increasing with tenureAdditional day off for your birthdayTwo weeks working abroad each yearWellness/gym contributionEducational supportRegular team lunches and company eventsHybrid working from Dublin, typically 2-3 days onsite per weekAI licences provided for all the tools you may needIf you're a senior developer who enjoys working across the stack, solving real problems and having the freedom to make technical decisions, I'd be keen to speak with you.
