Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional banking and the digital era by providing seamless, scalable, and secure financial solutions.Role PurposeThe Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining and improving the cloud infrastructure and automation that power Staq’s BaaS platform. This role focuses on stability, security and seamless deployments across all environments. You will work closely with Technology to ensure our systems run smoothly, incidents are resolved quickly and our infrastructure continues to evolve as we scale.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt on AWS or OCIDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bash/Groovy, Docker, GitHub and HelmConfigure and support Kubernetes clusters to ensure performance, availability and scalabilityEnhance monitoring, logging, alerting and tracing with tools like Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Thanos, Elasticsearch and JaegerSupport and automate application deployments for Node.js, Java and other servicesImprove security, reliability and operational workflows across environmentsTroubleshoot infrastructure, networking and deployment issuesMaintain clear DevOps documentation and internal best practices.Qualifications & Experience5+ years of experience as a DevOps EngineerStrong Linux administration experienceDeep experience with Kubernetes, Docker and container orchestrationHands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, RDS) or OCIProficiency with Terraform/Terragrunt and Infrastructure-as-Code workflowsExperience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines and automation scriptingUnderstanding of web servers and reverse proxies (Nginx, HAProxy)Experience deploying and supporting Node.js or Java applications.What Would Make Someone Excellent in This RoleExperience securing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in productionExperience in fintech, payments or other high-scale, regulated environmentsFamiliarity with Vault, Kafka, Keycloak, Nexus or Elasticsearch.What We OfferA competitive salaryRemote-first, flexible work arrangementsThe opportunity to build and scale infrastructure for a cutting-edge fintech platformA supportive, collaborative engineering environmentThe chance to make a meaningful impact on a fast-growing BaaS company.
