The business is growing, engineering is scaling, and there is plenty of opportunity to influence how the platform evolves.We're looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a small, experienced engineering team and help build, operate and secure the AWS infrastructure behind a modern financial technology platform.This isn't a governance or compliance focused security position. It's a hands on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable working across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD as they are implementing practical security improvements across cloud infrastructure, containers, pipelines and access controls.You'll work closely with the existing Platform Engineer and CISO, helping translate security requirements and findings into practical technical solutions whilst taking broad ownership across the platform.It's a genuinely varied role within a small team. They need someone who can understand a problem, work out what needs doing and implement it, rather than operating within a narrow infrastructure or security silo.What you'll be doingBuilding, operating and improving production infrastructure across AWSBuilding and securing Kubernetes environments, including EKSDeveloping and maintaining infrastructure as code using TerraformBuilding and improving GitOps and CI/CD workflows, including ArgoCDImproving cloud security across IAM, least privilege, access controls and infrastructure configurationImplementing security improvements across CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, containers and cloud infrastructureWorking with Wiz to understand cloud security findings, prioritise risk and turn findings into practical remediationImproving vulnerability management and security across the software delivery lifecycleWriting scripts and tooling in Python, Go or similar to automate infrastructure, operational and security processesWorking closely with engineering and security to solve problems across traditional team boundariesHelping shape DevSecOps and platform engineering practices as the business and engineering organisation continue to scaleWhat we're looking forStrong hands on AWS experience within production environmentsDeep experience with Terraform and infrastructure as codeStrong Kubernetes experience, ideally including EKSSolid CI/CD and GitOps experiencePractical experience securing modern cloud infrastructure rather than security knowledge purely from a governance perspectiveGood understanding of IAM, least privilege, vulnerability management, container security and secure CI/CDExperience taking security requirements or findings and implementing the technical solutionExperience scripting or building tooling in Python, Go or similarA broad engineering mindset and willingness to take ownership rather than operating within a narrow siloSomeone comfortable working as a senior individual contributor within a small engineering teamNice to haveExperience with Wiz or another CNAPP/CSPM platformArgoCD experienceExperience with Auth0, Entra ID or similar identity toolingApplication or software supply chain security experienceExperience with security tooling across areas such as SAST, SCA or infrastructure as code scanningSalary: Up to £85,000 + 20% bonusInterested?
