Senior Director

Role Description The Senior Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight for programs, services, and operations at One 8 Healing Space. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting organizational goals, overseeing counseling and workshop initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the mission of promoting mental health and emotional well-being. The Senior Director will manage and mentor team members, oversee partnerships and collaborations, and support the design and evaluation of programs and services. The role also involves budget oversight, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining ethical and professional standards in all organizational activities.QualificationsDemonstrated leadership experience in mental health, counseling, social services, or related fields, with the ability to set strategic direction and manage multidisciplinary teams.Strong skills in program development, evaluation, and organizational planning, including experience overseeing workshops, educational initiatives, or therapeutic services.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build partnerships, work with diverse communities, and represent the organization externally.Sound understanding of mental health, emotional well-being, and trauma-informed, person-centered practices, with a commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality.Proficiency in basic administrative, budgeting, and project management tools, with strong organizational and decision-making abilities.Relevant academic background (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work, public health, or nonprofit management) and professional certifications or licenses in mental health fields are an advantage.Experience working in or with the UAE or regional context, and ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment in Abu Dhabi.
