Role Description The Senior Director role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the flexibility to work from home for some responsibilities. The Senior Director will provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for the organization, ensuring alignment between heritage preservation goals, operational practices, and stakeholder expectations across the four provinces. Day-to-day tasks include setting organizational priorities, overseeing budgets and resource allocation, guiding regional directors and senior staff, and monitoring the quality and impact of inspection and advisory services. The Senior Director will represent the organization in key partnerships, public forums, and policy discussions, strengthening relationships with provincial authorities, heritage owners, and sector partners. The role also involves fostering innovation in inspection methods, sustainability practices, and service delivery, while promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven culture.QualificationsProven senior leadership and management experience, including strategic planning, team leadership, and organizational governance.Background in heritage conservation, architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, or a related field; familiarity with European or Dutch heritage frameworks is an advantage.Strong financial and operational skills, including budgeting, resource management, and performance monitoring.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging public authorities, nonprofit partners, and property owners.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, international context, coordinating remotely with teams in the Netherlands from Dubai.Experience leading innovation and change, including the adoption of new technologies and sustainable practices in an operational environment.Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory leadership and to the long-term preservation of cultural heritage.Relevant academic degree (e.g., Master’s in management, public administration, heritage studies, or equivalent experience).
