Role PurposeThe role provides strategic leadership across branding, digital marketing, customer and market campaigns, ensuring marketing investments are aligned with business priorities, customer needs, and the organization’s long-term growth ambitions. The Senior Director will act as a key advisor to the Chief and senior leadership on brand, market positioning, customer engagement, and marketing opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Brand Strategy:Define and lead the organization’s overall marketing, branding, and digital marketing strategy in alignment with corporate and business objectives.Establish the strategic direction for brand positioning, brand architecture, value propositions, and market differentiation.Translate business priorities into clear marketing strategies and annual marketing plans.Advise senior leadership on market trends, customer expectations, brand opportunities, and competitive positioning.Ensure consistent brand positioning, messaging, and customer experience across all channels and market touchpoints.Brand Management & Positioning:Lead the development and evolution of the organization’s brand strategy and market positioning.Strengthen brand equity, awareness, consideration, and relevance across priority customer segments.Oversee major brand initiatives, including brand campaigns, product/service positioning, sponsorship activation, and strategic partnerships.Establish brand governance frameworks and ensure consistent application of brand standards across the organization.Monitor brand health and reputation through research, market intelligence, and customer insights.Integrated Marketing & Campaign Strategy:Set the strategic direction for major marketing and customer campaigns across traditional and digital channels.Oversee the development of integrated campaigns supporting brand objectives, customer acquisition, engagement, product launches, and business growth.Ensure campaigns are insight-led, customer-focused, commercially relevant, and aligned with the overall brand strategy.Provide executive oversight of campaign planning, creative direction, media strategy, market activation, and performance.Establish frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness, marketing ROI, customer response, and overall business impact.Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement:Define the digital marketing strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.Drive the strategic use of digital platforms, social media, content, performance marketing, and emerging marketing technologies.Champion data-driven and personalized marketing approaches to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.Partner with Digital, Technology, Data, and Customer Experience teams to strengthen the organization’s digital marketing capabilities.Identify emerging digital trends and technologies that can enhance brand reach and marketing effectiveness.Market & Customer Insights:Ensure marketing strategies and campaigns are informed by customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance data.Identify evolving customer behaviors, market trends, and growth opportunities.Use insights to guide segmentation, positioning, channel strategy, and campaign investment decisions.Establish clear marketing performance indicators and provide strategic reporting to executive management.Leadership & Stakeholder Management:Lead and develop the marketing leadership team, building strong capabilities across brand, campaigns, digital marketing, and customer engagement.Build strong relationships with business leaders and key functions to ensure alignment between marketing strategy and commercial priorities.Manage strategic relationships with advertising, creative, media, digital, research, and other external partners.Provide strategic oversight of the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of investment and measurable value.Represent the Marketing function in senior management discussions and strategic initiatives.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is preferred.Significant senior leadership experience in marketing, brand management, digital marketing, or integrated marketing.Strong track record of developing and leading enterprise-level brand and marketing strategies.Strong understanding of brand strategy, customer segmentation, digital channels, media strategy, market research, and marketing analytics.Experience managing significant marketing budgets, agencies, and strategic external partnerships.Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing strategy to business growth and measurable outcomes.Proven ability to influence and advise C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
