Senior Director of Operations, Ambulatory

Our client, a large, mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is hiring a Senior Director of Ambulatory Services to help lead ambulatory operations across a multi-site network serving diverse communities.If you’re a hands-on operator who knows how to drive access, efficiency, and quality in complex outpatient settings, this is a high-impact leadership role with real community mission behind it.What you’ll doLead ambulatory operations across multiple sites; partner with clinical and operational leaders to drive performanceCoordinate policy and program implementation for ambulatory services across the networkOversee administrative, financial, and operational planning (including budgeting and resource allocation)Improve patient access and operational workflows; monitor key operational performance indicatorsSupport compliance with FQHC/HRSA and related regulatory standardsLead and develop teams, including experience working within union environmentsStep in as acting lead in the absence of the Director of Ambulatory Care ServicesMust-haves7+ years of experience in ambulatory care operations and/or multi-site practice management in healthcareBachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Social Sciences, Management, or related); Master’s preferred (may substitute for some experience)Strong working knowledge of FQHC/HRSA standards and outpatient regulatory requirementsPrior outpatient, multi-specialty leadership experience (required)Proven people leadership + strong communication skillsComfortable in fast-paced, high-accountability environments; “boots on the ground” leadership styleLocation / scheduleNew York City Metro — On-siteM-FMultiple locations needed: Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn
