Senior Director of Operations

About the CompanyKey Responsibilities: Subject matter expert in driving school (test management and/or training) with experience in procurement and project management. Should have strong understanding of KSA driving school landscape, strong connections with local vendors and ability to mobilize contacts quickly. Senior level exposure; Should have experience in governance / board representation on project companies and corporates.About the RoleRepresent the Sponsors’ in high-level meetings with Ministries, Traffic Department and other regulatory bodies. Play an important role in establishing governance structures during the implementation period: steering committees, workstreams, decision-making protocols, and escalation paths.ResponsibilitiesSound commercial and financial understanding with background in negotiation and execution of commercial contracts;Ability to lead decision making from Sponsors’ perspective on commercial and technical matters.Should have solid experience in managing and leading procurement workstream (Manpower hiring, IT installation) in Saudi Arabia.Management and coordination with driving school testing/monitoring activities.Oversee the phased implementation plan, map the implementation plan against the actual performance, identify gaps and take proactive actions to ensure the implementation adheres to the targets.Drive operational standardization across all Driving Schools, ensuring uniform service quality and compliance.Coordinate daily operations across regional operations, effectively managing workforce expansion from inception to approximately 800 operational staff.Oversee operational budgets and enforce cost control measures.QualificationsMaster’s degree in management, engineering, supply chain or a related field.At least 8-10 years of substantial experience in operational or field positions.Required SkillsDemonstrated experience in operations management, ideally within regulated or customer-facing sectors.Established track record in supervising staff and overseeing daily operational activities.Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple sites or services, ideally within regulated industries.Established leadership skills with the ability to unify diverse teams across geographically dispersed locations.Comprehensive knowledge of operational procedures and service delivery standards.Proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Office, ERP, or scheduling systems.Fluency and Proficiency in Arabic and English.French would be highly desirable for efficient communications between the teams.Preferred SkillsCandidates having strong experience with driving schools in KSA or GCC will be given preference.Ideally, the candidate would come from head of large driving schools in KSA.Must have experience in setting up KPIs, monitoring and reporting as a prerequisite.
