Pay: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 per yearSenior Director of Outpatient Programs/Position SummaryThe Senior Director of Outpatient Programs reports to the Chief Operating Officer and provides operational and administrative leadership for Banyan Community Health’s outpatient service lines, including Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Primary Care, Case Management, Community Treatment Services (CTS) and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).This leadership role is responsible for overseeing program operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, patient access, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness across all outpatient programs.The Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership, medical providers, clinical leadership, quality management, and operational teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, integrated, patient-centered care. This position plays a key role in advancing Banyan's mission while ensuring compliance with all applicable Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) standards, Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) requirements, HRSA regulations, payer requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute operational and strategic plans for all outpatient programs in alignment with organizational goals and community healthcare needs.Partner with executive leadership to improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, patient outcomes, and organizational performance.Refine or establish key performance indicators and accountability measures to monitor operational effectiveness, patient access, clinical outcomes, and financial performance.· Develop and execute transition plans for newly acquired or newly opened facilities, including staffing, training, policy implementation, compliance readiness, and performance monitoring.Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives that support patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.Participate in organizational leadership meetings, committees, and strategic planning initiatives.Operational LeadershipProvide oversight and leadership for Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Primary Care, Community Treatment Services (CTS), Case Management and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) operations.Ensure efficient day-to-day operations across all outpatient service locations.Monitor patient access, provider productivity, scheduling efficiency, referral management, patient engagement, and service utilization.Collaborate with clinical and medical leadership to ensure seamless coordination of care and integrated service delivery.Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency and quality across all outpatient programs.Ensure outpatient programs meet established performance standards and service objectives.FQHC, PCMH & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure ongoing compliance with all Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requirements applicable to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).Maintain readiness for HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSVs), audits, reviews, and accreditation activities.Support and oversee Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and ensure adherence to NCQA standards and quality measures.Monitor compliance with federal, state, local, payer, and accreditation requirements.Collaborate with Quality Improvement and Compliance teams to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives and corrective action plans when necessary.Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and operational practices meet regulatory and contractual requirements.Financial & Performance ManagementDevelop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets across outpatient service lines.Monitor productivity standards, payer requirements, grant-funded program expectations, and financial outcomes.Utilize operational and financial data to assess program performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources while maintaining high-quality patient care and service delivery.Staff Leadership & DevelopmentProvide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to program directors, managers, and operational leaders.Support recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and performance management efforts.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.Ensure staff maintain required certifications, competencies, and training requirements.Promote professional development and leadership growth throughout the organization.Quality & Patient ExperienceEnsure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, culturally competent care across all outpatient programs.Monitor patient satisfaction, access metrics, clinical outcomes, and quality indicators.Collaborate with clinical leadership to implement evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.Lead initiatives focused on reducing barriers to care, improving patient engagement, and enhancing the overall patient experience.Support organizational quality and risk management initiatives.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with Medical Providers, Behavioral Health Leadership, Quality Improvement, Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams.Serve as a resource and operational leader for outpatient healthcare programs and integrated care delivery models.Support organizational initiatives that improve efficiency, patient care, and compliance.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Behavioral Health, Nursing, or a related field required.Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing, Social Work, or a related field preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including oversight of multiple outpatient healthcare operations.Previous experience within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience leading or supporting Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Value-Based Care initiatives and maintaining compliance with associated standards. Experience with risk agreements is strongly preferred.Experience overseeing outpatient behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, psychiatry, and primary care programs preferred.Experience with HRSA compliance, UDS reporting, quality improvement, and healthcare regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesUnderstanding of FQHC regulations, HRSA requirements, UDS reporting, HEDIS and compliance standards.Comprehensive understanding of NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards and healthcare quality measures.Knowledge of outpatient behavioral health services, substance use treatment programs, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), psychiatry, and primary care operations.Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational analysis skills.Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to manage complex healthcare operations and lead multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), healthcare reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.Travel RequirementsFrequent travel to outpatient clinic locations throughout Broward and Miami-Dade County is required.Maintain a visible leadership presence across all outpatient programs to support operational effectiveness, quality oversight, staff engagement, and regulatory compliance.Participate in site visits, operational reviews, leadership meetings, and quality improvement activities at various program locations.Ability to travel based on organizational needs.Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
