Location: Texas (Dallas Preferred)Our client, a global owner/operator and developer of hyperscale data centers, is seeking a Senior Director, Procurement to help lead procurement strategy across a growing portfolio of mission-critical construction projects.This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands data center construction, can build scalable procurement processes, and is comfortable operating both strategically and in the details.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies for General Contractors, OFCI equipment, and major data center construction packagesLead sourcing, RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract developmentBuild and maintain strategic relationships with General Contractors, OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and other key suppliersDevelop procurement processes, governance, workflows, and standards to support continued growthPartner closely with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Finance, and LegalEnsure procurement activities are aligned with project schedules, CAPEX budgets, and Ready for Service datesManage supplier performance through KPIs, SLAs, business reviews, and ongoing performance managementIdentify and mitigate supply-chain risks including long-lead equipment, supplier capacity, cost escalation, and schedule constraintsSupport development of a scalable and resilient supplier network across multiple marketsLead, coach, and develop members of the procurement teamIdeal BackgroundSignificant procurement experience within data centers, mission-critical construction, or large-scale infrastructureStrong understanding of construction procurement and General Contractor relationshipsExperience sourcing and managing OFCI and long-lead equipmentProven ability to build procurement processes and infrastructure rather than simply operate within an established functionStrong contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier-management experienceComfortable getting into the details of scopes, bids, contracts, supplier issues, and project requirementsPrevious General Contractor experience is highly desirableExperience within a hyperscale environment is a plusStrong executive presence and cross-functional leadership skills
