Senior Draftsman

Prepare complete and accurate working plans, sections, elevations, charts, scale drawings, and revisions for various projects using CAD softwareAssist in preparing setting-out layouts based on consultant and client drawingsPrepare as-built drawings based on actual site executionCoordinate with site teams, clients, consultants, and line managers as requiredAssist the quantity surveying team by extracting quantities and areas from drawingsDesign layouts, sections, and detailed drawings for civil and structural projects, including roads, drainage, earthworks, grading profiles, and topographic mapsPrepare drawings and mark-ups with minimal supervisionPrepare and submit shop drawings for ongoing projectsPerform quantity and area take-offs from drawingsAttend meetings with line managers to discuss project progressSupervise junior draftsmen and drafting personnelCarry out scanning and printing work for projects and divisions as requestedPerform office administration tasks, prepare work schedules, and raise invoices for sections/divisionsFollow document control procedures, numbering systems, and maintain electronic archives of shop drawings and as-built drawingsPrepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)Prepare proposal drawings for tender submissionsRequirementsDiploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or ITI Draughtsman qualificationMinimum 10 years of relevant industry experienceGCC experience preferredProficiency in drafting software such as: AutoCADMicroStationCivil 3DOther project-specific drafting applicationsStrong knowledge of architectural, civil, and structural drafting practicesGeneral awareness of: Electrical drawingsMechanical drawingsPlumbing drawingsHVAC drawingsAbility to prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and proposal drawings for tender submissionsAbility to perform quantity and area take-offs from drawingsGood coordination and communication skills to work with site teams, clients, consultants, and project managersAbility to supervise and guide junior draftsmenKnowledge of document control procedures, drawing numbering systems, and electronic archivingAbility to prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)
