Senior Drainage Lead SpecialistPosition OverviewMEWS Engineering Services LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Drainage Lead Specialist to provide technical leadership for stormwater drainage, sewerage, flood protection and water infrastructure projects in Dubai.The successful candidate will lead drainage design activities from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, tender documentation, authority approvals and construction support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical delivery of drainage, stormwater, sewerage and flood protection projects.Manage and coordinate drainage design teams.Develop drainage strategies, drainage master plans and catchment assessments.Undertake and review hydrological and hydraulic assessments.Design stormwater drainage networks, sewerage systems, culverts, channels, detention/retention facilities and associated infrastructure.Review hydraulic modelling outputs and ensure design solutions are technically robust.Coordinate drainage designs with roads, utilities, structures, landscaping and other disciplines.Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications and tender documentation.Lead technical submissions and responses to authority comments.Liaise with clients, contractors and government authorities.Provide technical support during construction.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and procedures.Minimum Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Master’s Degree in Water Resources, Hydraulic Engineering or Environmental Engineering is desirable.Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Dubai is mandatory.Proven experience in drainage, stormwater, sewerage and flood protection projects.Strong knowledge of Dubai drainage and infrastructure requirements.Experience with Dubai Municipality and RTA projects is highly desirable.Experience with DEWA and other utility authorities is advantageous.Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status is desirable.Software ExperienceExperience with:InfoWorks ICMHEC-RASHEC-HMSTUFLOWCivil 3DGISKey AttributesStrong technical leadership.Excellent engineering judgement.Strong communication and coordination skills.Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.Excellent problem-solving capability.High attention to detail and quality.
