Senior Economist

Ready to use your economics expertise to influence policy and create meaningful change? The Regional Australia Institute is looking for a Senior Economist to lead research, analysis and consulting projects that will help shape the future of regional Australia. In this role you will:Provide economic insights and recommendations to inform policy, programs and initiatives.Monitor economic indicators and identify emerging trends affecting regional Australia.Lead and manage research and impact assessment projects.Support the translation of research into practical advocacy and policy outcomes.Manage stakeholder relationships with government, industry, research organisations and communities.Represent RAI at conferences, forums and industry events. We're looking for someone with:Qualifications in Economics or a related disciplineExperience in economic research, policy, consulting or evaluation.Strong quantitative and analytical capability.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex economic concepts into practical recommendationsExperience in project management and stakeholder engagement.An understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional communities.
