قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجAbout the DepartmentThe Department of Antiquities and Museums is committed to preserving, promoting, and sharing the cultural heritage of Ras Al Khaimah through museums, archaeological sites, educational initiatives, and community engagement.Position OverviewThe Senior Education and Interpretation Specialist will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering educational and interpretation programs tailored to different curricula and age groups.The role aims to strengthen students’ and visitors’ understanding of the cultural heritage of Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates through engaging museum programs, guided tours, archaeological site visits, and educational outreach activities.The successful candidate will work closely with educational institutions, government entities, cultural partners, and internal teams to design innovative learning experiences aligned with relevant educational curricula and cultural priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesEducational Program DevelopmentContribute to planning and designing educational and interpretation programs for the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah and archaeological sites.Develop programs suitable for in-person, field-based, and online delivery.Conduct detailed research to support the development of innovative museum education programs.Ensure educational activities are appropriate for different curricula and age groups.Prepare development plans for exhibition spaces designated for students.Tours and Educational OutreachConduct guided tours at the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah and archaeological sites.Deliver educational outreach sessions at schools and other educational institutions.Educate students and visitors about the cultural heritage of Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE.Translate educational and cultural materials used to promote heritage awareness among students.Partnerships and Stakeholder EngagementContribute to developing and managing partnerships with stakeholders in the education sector.Coordinate with educational institutions to ensure programs remain aligned with current curricula.Build effective working relationships with schools, the Ministry of Education, and relevant internal departments.Support information sharing and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Program Operations and SafetyIdentify the logistical requirements of educational programs and submit them to the Section Manager for approval.Work closely with the Security and Safety team to establish appropriate safety procedures for educational activities and events.Support the preparation and delivery of institutional events and excellence initiatives.Contribute to planning and organizing student summer camps.Reporting and Departmental SupportPrepare periodic reports on student tours and educational services and submit them to management.Contribute to preparing the department’s annual budget.Monitor and compile the department’s annual performance indicators.Perform other related responsibilities as required by operational needs.Performance ExpectationsDeliver engaging and age-appropriate educational and interpretation programs.Promote awareness and understanding of Ras Al Khaimah’s cultural heritage.Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism when delivering tours and educational content.Build effective relationships with schools, educational institutions, and cultural partners.Ensure educational activities are delivered safely and efficiently.Contribute to the continuous development of museum education services.Candidate ProfileQualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Education, English Literature, History, Archaeology, Tourism Guidance, Applied Media, Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.Three to six years of relevant professional experience.Previous experience in museum education, cultural programming, guided tours, educational outreach, or a related field is preferred.Experience working with schools, students, museums, or cultural institutions is an advantage.Skills and CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to design and deliver engaging educational programs.Strong presentation and public-speaking capabilities.Research, translation, and report-writing skills.Creativity and innovation in developing educational experiences.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Customer-focused approach.Strong organizational and ethical awareness.Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders effectively.Commitment to excellence in implementation and results.Language RequirementsFluency in Arabic, both written and spoken, is essential.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
