Professionals joining SBG can expect to contribute to high-impact projects in a dynamic, future-focused environment.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Engineer role based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, review, and optimization of electrical systems for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and validating electrical drawings and calculations, overseeing power distribution and power systems layouts, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors. The role involves conducting technical assessments, resolving complex site issues, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also participate in value engineering, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives to support project delivery and operational excellence.Qualifications Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply advanced engineering principles to complex building and infrastructure projects.Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparation and review of schematics, layouts, load calculations, and equipment specifications.Hands-on experience with Power Distribution and Power Systems, including medium and low voltage networks, protection systems, and reliability analysis.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.Several years of experience in electrical engineering roles within large construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects, preferably in the Middle East.Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, relevant Saudi standards).Competence in using engineering and design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar tools) and strong technical documentation skills.Effective communication, coordination, and leadership abilities, with experience guiding junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable engineering practices.Ability to work on-site in Makkah and adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
