Senior Electrical Engineer

From blueprint to final build, you will engage in every stage of the development journey — transforming ambition into architecture and concepts into reality.As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for supervising and inspecting electrical works on-site (LV/MV, fire alarm, ELV), reviewing contractor submittals and method statements, witnessing testing & commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with DEWA and Civil Defence regulations, coordinating with MEP/civil/architectural teams, and liaising with authorities for approvals and sign-offs.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect electrical installation works on site (LV/MV distribution, cabling, containment, lighting, power, fire alarm, ELV coordination) for high-rise tower developments.Review and approve contractor method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for electrical systems.Conduct site inspections and witness testing (cable testing, megger testing, earthing/bonding, ELV integration, DB commissioning) ensuring conformance to approved drawings and specifications.Monitor contractor compliance with ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), raise NCRs for non-conformances, and follow through to closure.Review and verify as-built drawings against site execution.Liaise with DEWA, Civil Defence, and other UAE regulatory authorities for approvals, inspections, and testing/commissioning sign-offs.Attend technical and progress meetings; prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and snag lists.Support the Resident Engineer in monitoring project quality, safety, and adherence to programme.Ensure works comply with NFPA, IEC, BS, and local DEWA/Civil Defence standards as applicable.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4–5 years in a Consultant/Supervision Consultancy role.Proven experience supervising electrical works on high-rise tower construction projects in Dubai/UAE (mandatory).Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations, Dubai Civil Defence requirements, and UAE construction standards.
