Senior Electrical Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of electrical engineering, energy efficiency, and sustainability projects across Saudi Arabia. The role will provide technical expertise across electrical systems, building projects, lighting, energy optimization, and renewable energy solutions, while working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical engineering expertise across energy efficiency, building, lighting, and renewable energy projects.Review electrical designs, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, calculations, and engineering drawings.Conduct site inspections and technical assessments of electrical systems.Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and optimize electrical systems.Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.Monitor the quality, progress, and technical compliance of electrical works.Prepare technical reports, progress updates, material take-offs, and engineering documentation.Support electrical scope estimation, project scheduling, and technical planning.Provide technical guidance and practical engineering solutions to project teams.Ensure electrical works comply with applicable Saudi regulations, codes, standards, and project requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.3+ years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.Candidates with extensive experience, including 10+ years, are also encouraged to apply.Professional experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.Experience in project coordination, project execution, and/or project management.Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration and membership.Engineering profession reflected on the candidate's Iqama, where applicable.Good command of English, both written and spoken.Strong technical, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.Required SkillsExperience with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or ETAP.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting.Familiarity with energy auditing tools, power quality analyzers, and thermal imaging equipment is an advantage.Knowledge of DIALux or AGi32 is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.Knowledge of SEC standards, Saudi electrical requirements, and applicable international electrical codes.Preferred SkillsExperience in energy efficiency, building retrofit, street lighting, or renewable energy projects.Experience with solar PV system design or installation.CEM or CEA certification.PMP or equivalent project management certification.Familiarity with LEED or green building certification processes.About the CompanyAstek Middle East is part of Astek, a global engineering and technology consulting group founded in France in 1988 and now present on five continents.
