Senior Electrical, SCADA & I&C Design Engineer

Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesIndustry: Water & Wastewater Infrastructure / Utilities / EPC ConsultingExperience: 10+ YearsABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical, SCADA & Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, review, and coordination of electrical systems, SCADA architecture, instrumentation, and control solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities.This role requires a strong technical background in utility infrastructure projects, with proven experience delivering treatment plants, pumping stations, desalination facilities, and related water infrastructure projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead the design and development of Electrical, SCADA, and I&C systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, reports, drawings, and engineering documentation.Design LV/MV power distribution systems, MCCs, PLCs, RTUs, VFDs, and control panels.Develop SCADA architecture, communication networks, telemetry systems, and cybersecurity requirements.Prepare instrumentation layouts, control philosophies, P&IDs reviews, instrument datasheets, and I/O lists.Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural teams.Conduct technical reviews and design verification to ensure compliance with client requirements and international standards.Support tendering activities, technical proposals, cost estimation, and vendor evaluations.Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local utility standards.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Electrical, SCADA, and I&C design.Strong experience in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Pumping Stations, or Desalination Plants.Experience in consultancy, EPC, or utility infrastructure projects.Technical SkillsSCADA Systems DesignPLC Programming & ArchitectureInstrumentation DesignControl Systems EngineeringElectrical Power Distribution DesignMV/LV SystemsCommunication Networks & TelemetryFAT/SAT & Commissioning SupportAutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, DigSilent, EPLAN or equivalent toolsPreferredExperience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in GCC/Middle East.Familiarity with DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, ADWEA, or similar utility standards.Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer certification is an advantage.
