Senior Electrician – Operations & Maintenance (Power)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrician – O&M Power to support the operation, maintenance and reliability of electrical power systems and equipment.The role will be responsible for fault diagnosis, preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical testing, shutdown activities and restoration of electrical services, while ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair electrical faults, failures and equipment breakdowns.Inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance schedules.Monitor electrical equipment condition and identify potential failures.Support planned and emergency power shutdowns and outages.Assist in the safe restoration of electrical services following faults or breakdowns.Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical distribution equipment.Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO, permit-to-work and risk-assessment requirements.Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and technical documentation.Identify equipment requiring repair, replacement or upgrading.Support fault-finding and root-cause identification activities.Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians and technicians.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE and operational requirements.Candidate RequirementsTechnical Diploma / ITI / vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related discipline.Relevant hands-on experience in electrical operations and maintenance.Strong experience in electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and maintenance.Knowledge of LV/MV electrical distribution systems and equipment preferred.Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.Exposure to electrical shutdown, isolation and restoration activities.Good understanding of electrical safety, LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.Ability to read electrical drawings, diagrams and technical documentation.Previous experience within utilities, power distribution, substations, power plants or industrial facilities would be advantageous.Ability to guide and support junior technical staff.Electrical Maintenance | Electrical Troubleshooting | Electrical Engineering | Preventive Maintenance | Corrective Maintenance | Electrical Systems | Power Distribution | Electrical Distribution | Low Voltage (LV) | Medium Voltage (MV) | High Voltage (HV) | Switchgear | Circuit Breakers | Transformers | Substations | Electrical Panels | Motor Control Centers (MCC) | Electrical Testing | Fault Finding | Equipment Maintenance | Power Systems | Planned Maintenance | Breakdown Maintenance | Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) | Permit to Work | Risk Assessment | Electrical Safety | Technical Maintenance
