SENIOR ELECTRONIC ENGINEER - LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to take a leading role in the design and development of advanced electronic systems. You will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, from defining requirements and developing concepts through schematic design, prototyping, testing, validation, and transfer into production.This is a hands-on engineering role with significant technical ownership. You will be responsible for developing robust, reliable electronic solutions while balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and system requirements. You will work on complex electronic architectures and have the opportunity to influence technical decisions from the early stages of development.As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical guidance to other engineers, contribute to design standards and best practices, and help drive continuous improvement across the electronics development process. You will work closely with colleagues across mechanical engineering, embedded software, systems, production, and other disciplines to deliver complete products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electronic hardware from concept through to production.Translate system and product requirements into robust electronic architectures and detailed designs.Develop schematics, select components, and oversee PCB design and layout.Design and optimise electronic circuits for performance, efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.Carry out calculations, simulations, and technical analysis to validate design decisions.Develop prototypes and lead hardware testing, debugging, and design validation.Define and execute verification and validation activities for electronic designs.Troubleshoot complex hardware issues and identify root causes.Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component selection, production, and technical issues.Support design for manufacturing, assembly, and test.Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, specifications, and design reports.Contribute to EMC/EMI, safety, reliability, and regulatory considerations throughout the design process.Work closely with embedded software, mechanical, systems, and production engineers on multidisciplinary projects.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers.Contribute to the development of engineering processes, standards, and best practices.Support continuous improvement of existing products and electronic platforms.Your ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.Several years of professional experience in electronics hardware design and development.Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.Good knowledge of electronic components, circuit design, testing, and measurement techniques.Experience with hardware development from initial concept through to production.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting.Experience with simulation and analysis tools is an advantage.Knowledge of EMC/EMI, signal integrity, thermal management, or electronics reliability is beneficial.Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.Comfortable taking technical ownership and making design decisions.Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical guidance to other engineers.A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and product development.The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
