Senior Electronic Technician

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Lab Technician to work onsite in Torrance, CA for a year with a possibility of extension. The Sr. Electronics Lab Technician will be responsible for performing functional acceptance testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic units following defined test procedures. You will support development and validation testing of high voltage automotive power electronic components, in addition to fabricating special test equipment, electronic test boxes, and harnesses.Schedule: 9A-5PM (Flexible)Responsibilities Fabricate special test equipment, electronic test boxes, and harnessesDesign and fabricate simple mechanical fixtures and jigsFunctional acceptance testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic units following defined test proceduresSupport development and validation testing of high-voltage automotive power electronic componentsTroubleshoot, root cause, and document electronic assembly issuesComfortable working on high voltage (<1kV), high current unitsPerform printed circuit board assembly modifications such as component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, etcUnderstand how to read electrical schematics and use manufacturers’ product data sheetsProcure necessary tools, equipment, and components for prototype buildsSet up and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters with no directionUse instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, pressure gauges, and flow metersUse Google Workspace such as Sheets, Slides, etc to capture test data and create reportsMaintain good housekeeping and safe practices
