Senior Embedded Developer – IoT Firmware

Tor.ai serves diverse sectors such as construction, manufacturing, warehouse and logistics, mining, chiller, genset, compressor, and electric vehicles, giving team members exposure to a broad industrial landscape.Role Description The Senior Embedded Developer 📍 Location: Pune💼 Experience: 5–8 yearsWe’re looking for an experienced embedded developer to build reliable firmware for connected IoT products and own development from requirements through production release.Key responsibilities* Design, develop, test and maintain embedded firmware.* Develop device drivers, peripheral interfaces and communication protocols.* Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and validation.* Troubleshoot field issues and improve reliability, performance and memory usage.* Review code, mentor developers and maintain technical documentation.Required skills* Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C * Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers such as STM32, NXP or equivalent.* Understanding of bare-metal development, RTOS, interrupts, scheduling and synchronization.* Experience with UART, SPI, I²C, CAN and RS-485.* Familiarity with cellular, Wi-Fi or BLE connectivity and MQTT/HTTP protocols.* Hands-on debugging using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.* Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot system-level issues.* Experience with Git, code reviews and firmware testing.Good to have* Bootloaders, OTA updates, secure boot and firmware recovery.* Industrial protocols such as Modbus, CANopen or J1939.* Low-power design, watchdogs and fault handling.* Experience delivering industrial IoT products into production.To apply: Send your resume to careers@tor.ai with the subject line linkedin-embedded.
