If you enjoy working close to hardware, solving technical problems, and shaping products from concept to system integration, we would be happy to hear from you.Join us to invent the future!Your roleIn your role as our Senior Embedded Software Developer, you will work at the interface of embedded software, firmware, hardware, RF engineering, and system integration.You will contribute hands-on to architecture, implementation, testing, debugging, and integration while also guiding technical decisions and coordinating embedded software activities within the team. Your responsibilitiesCoordinate and lead embedded software development activities, guide technical decisions, and contribute senior-level expertise across the full development lifecycle.Take technical responsibility for embedded software projects, including architecture, implementation, testing, debugging, and successful system integration.Develop new functions and software components for controlling innovative measurement devices and opto-electronic RF systems.Define concepts, specifications, and software designs for controlling RF and high-frequency modules.Develop software for microcontrollers, microprocessors, SoCs, and FPGA-based systems.Move effectively between complex custom architectures and rapid prototyping platforms, such as Raspberry Pi-based development environments, for proof-of-concept testing.Integrate firmware modules and test them within the overall system.Work closely with hardware, RF, FPGA, and system engineering teams to create robust, high-quality product solutions.Communicate with component manufacturers, suppliers, and partner companies to clarify technical specifications, evaluate components, and support future project planning. Our requirementsAround 10 years of professional experience in embedded systems, embedded software development, computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable technical field.Expert-level knowledge of C/C++ and strong proficiency in Python for scripting, testing, automation, and rapid prototyping.Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software architecture.Experience with Qt and QML for user interfaces, control software, or related application development.Confident use of Git for version control and collaborative software development.Hands-on experience with common embedded communication interfaces and protocols, such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, and JESD.Experience with high-performance, high-resolution ADCs and DACs, including their integration with FPGAs, processors, and advanced PLL clocking chips.Experience working with Linux, including low-level Linux drivers and hardware-related software interfaces.Good written and spoken English.An independent, structured, and responsible working style.Desirables are:- Extensive experience with ARM Cortex-based MCUs and MPUs.- FPGA development or FPGA-based systems experience, including Verilog and/or VHDL.- Experience with electronic design and layout tools, preferably Altium Designer.- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.- Knowledge of software licenses and their practical implications in product development.  What makes this role interestingYou will work on advanced deep-tech products rather than standard software applications.You will collaborate directly with experts in hardware, RF, and system engineering.You will contribute to technologies used in demanding fields such as quantum computing, radar, communication, and measurement equipment.You will join a motivated and dynamic start-up team. How to applyApplications from women are particularly welcome.
