The company is committed to high standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, creating a secure environment for clients and communities.2-Role OverviewNARSECT is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Fire & Life Safety to join our team and support the successful delivery of complex Fire & Life Safety projects in Saudi Arabia.The role requires strong technical expertise in the design, installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and management of Fire & Life Safety systems, together with a solid understanding of international codes, Saudi regulations, and client-specific requirements.The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications, codes, standards, and project requirements.3-Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Fire & Life Safety engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.Supervise and coordinate Engineers, Supervisors, Designers, technicians, and subcontractors.Manage the installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and auditing of Fire & Life Safety systems.Review engineering designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations, and technical documentation.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant government authorities.Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, workmanship, progress, and compliance with approved designs and applicable codes.Identify technical issues, non-conformities, and project risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Monitor project progress against approved schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.Support project execution in accordance with contractual requirements, approved budgets, and project schedules.Prepare and review Fire & Life Safety calculations, technical reports, inspection reports, and engineering documentation.Prepare and review Fire Strategy Reports, technical presentations, and engineering assessments for clients and management.Provide technical support during project meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and authority approvals.Maintain effective professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and governmental authorities.Identify opportunities for additional works and support business development with existing and potential clients.Ensure all project activities are performed in accordance with company HSE requirements and applicable Saudi regulations.4-Technical ResponsibilitiesFire Detection and Alarm SystemsAutomatic Fire Suppression SystemsFire Fighting SystemsClean Agent / Gas Suppression SystemsEmergency Power SystemsSmoke Control and Management SystemsFire Pumps and associated equipmentFire Water Storage and Distribution SystemsFire Protection Equipment and associated systemsHydraulic calculations and equipment sizingFire protection system calculationsTechnical reports and engineering assessmentsFire Strategy ReportsShop drawings and coordinated drawingsMaterial and equipment submittalsTesting & commissioning documentationInspection and audit reportsMethod statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)5-Codes, Standards & RegulationsNFPA StandardsInternational Building Code (IBC)International Fire Code (IFC)GCC Fire CodeSaudi Building Code (SBC)Saudi Civil Defense / GDCD requirementsHCIS requirementsSaudi Aramco standards and requirementsSABIC standards and requirementsApplicable client, authority, and project-specific requirements6-Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Fire & Life Safety Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.5–8 years of relevant professional experience in Fire & Life Safety / Fire Protection engineering.Proven experience in Fire Protection system design, installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and project execution.Strong practical knowledge of Fire & Life Safety systems and associated engineering requirements.Experience working on complex industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or major development projects in Saudi Arabia is preferred.Experience with Saudi Civil Defense, HCIS, Aramco, SABIC, or other major Saudi client requirements is highly desirable.Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.Ability to perform and/or review hydraulic calculations and fire protection equipment sizing.Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, project contracts, and engineering documentation.NFPA CFPS, PE, or other relevant Fire Protection / Fire Safety certifications will be an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate effectively with multiple project stakeholders.Immediate availability is preferred.7-Key CompetenciesStrong technical and engineering judgmentLeadership and team-management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management abilitiesStrong site supervision and project coordination skillsAbility to identify and resolve technical issuesGood understanding of project schedules, budgets, and contractual requirementsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and under pressureStrong commitment to safety, compliance, and professional standards
