Senior Engineer - Mechanical Systems (10 Months Extendable Contract Role )

With more than a decade of experience and a highly skilled team, we are proud to support organizations across the region with tailored workforce solutions.We are currently hiring a Senior Engineer - Mechanical Systems (10 Months Extendable Contract Role ) on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.Job Purpose:Provide dedicated mechanical engineering delivery support for the DABRP2 programme to ensure timely completion of contractual technical reviews, approvals, site inspections, witnessing, and testing and commissioning activities. The role protects project milestones and compliance where ES SMEs are fully occupied with day-to-day operational support and other projects. The position supports EMO through the delivery phase until successful project handover and close-out.Job Description:Review and coordinate timely approvals of mechanical submittals, shop drawings, material/equipment approvals, technical queries, and deliverables to meet contractual obligations and prevent programme delays.Coordinate and support site activities including access requirements, permits-to-work, shutdown planning, stakeholder interfaces, and sequencing within live airport operations.Perform site inspections and verification of mechanical installations against approved drawings/specifications; manage observations, NCRs/snags, and closure tracking with the contractor.Witness tests, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities; verify performance evidence and documentation readiness; support technical sign-offs as required by the project governance.Support close-out documentation, as-builts, O&M manuals, training materials, and handover readiness; ensure documentation completeness and timely submission for handover.Skills:Project delivery experience in live operational environments (permits, access, shutdown coordination).HVAC / chilled water systems / mechanical plant retrofit and commissioning exposure (as applicable to DABRP2).Experience reviewing contractor submittals, method statements, ITPs, commissioning plans, and as-builts.Strong document control and approval workflow discipline (reviews/approvals turnaround).Past Dubai Airports experience with HVAC infrastructure and facilities.Written & verbal proficiency in English language.
