Senior Engineer, Operations

Job summary:To oversee the daily operations of power distribution in VIP and remote areas, ensuring reliable and safe supply to meet demand. Involves monitoring system performance, identifying and addressing operational issues, coordinating with maintenance teams, and supporting the integration of new technologies. Involved in optimizing the operation of the power network through data analysis and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.General Responsibilities:Policy, Procedures, Process and SystemsEnsure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.ReportingEnsure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business and Transco’s policies and standards.Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.Job Specific Responsibilities:Monitor the daily operations of the power network in VIP and remote areas, ensuring stability, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.Identify and troubleshoot operational issues in the power system, coordinating with maintenance teams to implement corrective actions.Conduct real-time performance monitoring and data analysis to optimize system reliability and efficiency.Support the implementation of new technologies and automation systems aimed at improving operational performance.Ensure that all operational procedures and safety protocols are strictly adhered to by field teams.Collaborate with control centers to manage power flow, respond to incidents, and maintain consistent communication during outages or operational disruptions.Assist in the scheduling and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with O&M teams.Contribute to the development of operational reports and recommendations based on performance data and system analysis.Provide technical support to field engineers and maintenance crews, ensuring they have the resources needed to maintain optimal network performance.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance network performance, reduce downtime, and implement predictive maintenance strategies.HSE, Security, and Risk Protocols:The Employee shall adhere to all the HSE, Security and Risk Management Rules & Procedures communicated by the company, including:Taking reasonable care of their own health, safety, and security.Taking reasonable care of the health, safety and security of persons that may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.Co-operate with their employer with respect to any instruction and/or actions taken by the employer to protect the employee and/ or comply with HSE and security requirements.Report to their immediate line manager any situation which they have reason to believe could present a risk, hazard, or issue to an individual or the company and which they cannot correct themselves.Report all HSE and security incidents and work-related injuries.Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace that supports the interest of HSE, security and welfare.Essential RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent3 years of relevant working experienceDesired RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering or equivalent6 years of relevant working experience
