Apply & track with Apply EdgeSenior HSE Manager | Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaA leading global engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Manager to join a major programme in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.This is a senior leadership opportunity for an HSE professional with a strong track record of managing health, safety and environmental performance across complex, high-value projects and multidisciplinary teams.The OpportunityAs Senior HSE Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across HSE activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and risk management are embedded throughout project delivery.You will work closely with project leadership, contractors, consultants and client representatives to drive a proactive safety culture and deliver continuous improvement across the programme.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HSE teams across a major project/programme
- Develop, implement and monitor HSE strategies, plans, procedures and standards
- Provide senior leadership on HSE risk management and assurance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi legislation, international standards and project requirements
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and drive improvement
- Lead HSE audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities
- Establish and maintain a strong proactive safety culture across the project
- Provide senior-level reporting, advice and guidance to project and client leadership
- Identify emerging risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Mentor and develop HSE professionals within the wider project teamAbout YouWe are looking for a senior HSE professional who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels and who has experience working on large-scale, complex projects.Ideally, you will have:
- Extensive experience in senior HSE leadership roles
- Proven experience within major construction, infrastructure, engineering or programme environments
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and best practice
- Experience managing HSE teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong contractor management and assurance experience
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant professional HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
- Experience working in the Middle East/Saudi Arabia would be highly advantageous
