Senior Environmental Consultant – Circular Economy

An established environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join its growing Circular Economy & EIA team in Ireland.This is a senior-level opportunity with a key focus on leading a national environmental compliance audit programme for a major client operating Ireland’s packaging recycling compliance scheme.You’ll combine technical environmental expertise with programme management, client leadership, regulatory engagement and team development, while remaining involved in audits and inspections across Ireland.The RoleYou will:Lead and manage national environmental compliance audit and inspection programmes.Act as a key client contact, managing programme delivery, resources, budgets and reporting.Undertake and oversee environmental compliance audits across Ireland.Support inspections under the Solvents and Decorative Paints Regulations.Provide practical advice on environmental legislation, compliance and regulatory requirements.Engage with clients, regulators, local authorities and industry stakeholders.Manage and mentor a small team of environmental professionals.Support the continued development of Circular Economy and environmental compliance services.About YouYou will ideally have:A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Engineering or a related discipline.At least 5 years experience in Ireland or the UK Significant environmental consultancy, compliance or regulatory experience.Experience managing environmental projects, programmes or contracts.Practical experience in environmental auditing, inspections or compliance assessments.Strong client and stakeholder management skills.Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues.Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland (approximately 25%).Experience with EPR/Producer Responsibility schemes, packaging, WEEE, batteries, regulated waste streams, EPA/local authority engagement, Lead Auditor qualifications or EIA would be particularly advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a significant national environmental programme while developing your career across client management, regulatory compliance and team leadership.📩 For further information or a confidential discussion, contact Maeve Curran at maeve.curran@allsite.ie.
