Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Description SummaryThe Senior Epic Application Analyst is responsible for advancing the functionality and operational efficiency of Information Systems utilizing their expertise in Epic Applications. This entails intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration and implementation. This position is responsible for ensuring integration of technology into effective workflow and process design as well as ensuring operational efficiency of assigned Epic applications and integrated technology. Provides advanced ongoing analysis, consultation, complex problem-solving, collaboration and application support to users. Also responsible for contributing to system training. The Senior Epic Application Analyst utilizes their knowledge and skills to function as a technical resource on Epic and assume higher level project responsibilities. This position typically reports to an ISD manager or above.The Senior Epic Application Analyst – Willow Ambulatory is responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and support of Epic Willow Ambulatory applications and related technologies supporting ambulatory pharmacy operations. This role partners with pharmacy staff, operational leaders, and technical teams to improve workflows, resolve complex application issues, support system upgrades and maintenance, and ensure effective integration of technology into daily operations across retail, specialty, and home health pharmacy environments. This position also supports new pharmacy builds, ongoing system enhancements, project coordination, user support, and training initiatives. This is a remote position reporting to an ISD Manager or above.Job Description:Must have:Epic Certification (preferably Willow but would look at others)4 years working directly with Healthcare Information SystemsEpic Build Experience (strong preference)some kind of pharmacy experienceDesired Skill Set:Epic Willow Ambulatory certification (preferred) and build experienceStrong understanding of ambulatory pharmacy workflowsExperience with Epic upgrades, system maintenance, and application supportKnowledge of medication loads, pricing updates, and insurance updatesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and support complex projectsExperience supporting retail, specialty, or home health pharmacy operations preferredMinimum QualificationsEducation: Associates degree, preferredLicenses/Certifications: Epic Certification requiredExperience / Knowledge / Skills:Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, building, testing and implementation or a combination of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations requiredIndustry training and increasingly responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information SystemPrevious Epic or other Health Information Systems experience requiredExperience in supporting complex problemsExperience in assisting other AnalystsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools and methodologiesGood analytical skills and technical aptitudeGood planning and organizational skillsGood communication, collaboration and customer service skillsDemonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead othersPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSystems DevelopmentTranslates user and department Epic system needs into technical solutions.Performs project reviews and process walk throughs incorporating technical, clinical and business solutions that will enhance user user productivity and department service levels.Technical AdministrationResponsible for providing technical knowledge in the support of Epic as well as other software applications and operating systems.Performs intermediate to advanced analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation of Epic and other computer programs and systems.Demonstrates and applies information systems theory, processes and methodologies.Technical StandardsActs as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support and information management standards within and outside of the Information Systems Department.Application Support:Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting development projects and complex problem solving efforts involving Epic and other applications.Participates in after-hours technical support by rotating call schedule on a regular basis.Provides ongoing Epic support to users.Planning & Coordinating:Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.Maintains an effective level of coordination on all assigned projects.Documents and reports on all plans, priorities and schedules.Informs Manager of status of all project assignments regularlyTraining:Contributes to the preparation and delivery of training sessions for staffCommunications:Thinks, plans, leads and acts appropriately in tactical settings.Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.Customer Service:Provides effective customer service by being courteous, polite and friendly toward others atall times.Acknowledges customers immediately in order to determine need and help the customerresolve issue or request.
