Location: MumbaiExperience: 8+ YearsIndustry: Financial Services / Capital MarketsAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join the research team of a leading Capital Markets / Financial Services firm in Mumbai.The role will focus on fundamental equity research, coverage of listed companies, financial modelling, valuation and generating independent investment recommendations.

The candidate should have a strong track record of developing differentiated research views, setting target prices and publishing actionable research.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies across assigned sectors.Independently analyze companies, industries, business models, financial performance and growth prospects.Build and maintain financial models, earnings estimates and valuation models.Initiate and maintain coverage on companies and develop clear investment theses.Generate Buy / Hold / Sell recommendations and set target prices.Publish initiation reports, result updates, company reports, sector reports and thematic research reports.Track quarterly results, investor presentations, management commentary, corporate announcements and industry developments.Evaluate business drivers, earnings growth, valuation, management quality, competitive positioning and key investment risks.Conduct peer comparison and relative valuation analysis.Regularly revise earnings estimates, target prices and recommendations based on changing fundamentals.Participate in management meetings, analyst meets, investor conferences and earnings calls.Develop differentiated investment views and identify potential investment opportunities and catalysts.Interact with institutional investors, fund managers and sales teams to discuss research views and investment ideas.Provide timely research updates and actionable insights to clients.Candidate Profile8+ years of experience in Equity Research.Strong experience in Sell-Side / Institutional Equity Research.Proven experience covering listed companies and independently generating investment views.Strong track record of stock recommendations, target price setting and Buy / Hold / Sell calls.Strong institutional votes / research rankings are highly preferred.Candidates with established credibility and recognition among institutional investors will be preferred.Strong understanding of financial statements, business analysis, valuation and financial modelling.Ability to independently build and defend an investment thesis.Strong research writing and communication skills.Experience interacting with institutional investors, fund managers and company management.CFA / CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification would be preferred.Preferred BackgroundSell-Side Equity Research | Institutional Equity Research | Brokerage Firms | Capital Markets FirmsIdeal CandidateWe are specifically looking for candidates who have a demonstrated track record of publishing research, generating actionable stock calls and building strong institutional investor relationships.Candidates with strong institutional votes / brokerage research rankings will be given preference.
