The company is committed to delivering event professionals clients can trust, rather than generic staffing solutions.Role Description The Senior Event Assistant is a contract, hybrid role based in Ethiopia, with responsibilities both on-site at events and from home for planning and coordination tasks. This role supports event operations by overseeing usher teams, assisting Protocol Officers, and ensuring guest flow, signage, and seating arrangements are handled efficiently. The Senior Event Assistant participates in pre-event planning, briefs event staff, coordinates schedules, and serves as a point of contact for clients and vendors during events. Day-to-day tasks include managing check-in processes, addressing guest inquiries, monitoring service standards, and reporting operational issues or improvements to event managers. The role also involves maintaining documentation, preparing post-event summaries, and supporting continuous improvement of service quality and training materials.Qualifications Strong event operations and coordination skills, including experience supporting corporate, diplomatic, or large-scale events.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests, clients, and team members.Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities during fast-paced events.Customer service and client-facing skills, with a focus on guest experience, courtesy, and problem-solving.Leadership capabilities to guide usher teams, provide clear instructions, and support training and mentoring of junior staff.Professional demeanor, punctuality, and attention to presentation, suitable for representing high-profile clients and diplomatic functions.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.Comfort with basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets, messaging platforms) to support planning, reporting, and coordination.Prior experience in events, hospitality, or protocol services is highly beneficial; experience in diplomatic or embassy settings is an advantage.Fluency in English and local languages preferred; additional language skills are a plus.
