The role goes well beyond traditional executive assistance, combining high-level executive support, global coordination, project and workflow management, travel, business development exposure, and operational support.The ideal candidate is someone who naturally thinks several steps ahead, anticipates needs before they arise, is comfortable managing significant volume and competing priorities, and takes ownership from start to finish.You’ll work closely with the Chair and a broader global support team, coordinating across multiple time zones and partnering with attorneys, clients, business development, project management, billing, IT, travel, and other administrative teams.Key Responsibilities for Senior Executive Assistant – Global Private Equity PracticeProvide high-level, proactive executive support to the Chair of the Private Equity Group.Manage a complex, high-volume calendar involving internal and external meetings, clients, senior stakeholders, and multiple time zones.Anticipate scheduling conflicts, competing priorities, and potential issues before they arise.Coordinate domestic and international travel, including itineraries, hotels, transportation, client meetings, conferences, and last-minute changes.Maintain visibility into ongoing priorities, workstreams, action items, and deliverables, ensuring items are followed through and closed out.Coordinate closely with attorneys, clients, business development, project management, billing, IT, travel, and administrative teams.Prepare and distribute schedules, agendas, meeting materials, status updates, action items, and follow-up communications.Serve as a polished and professional point of contact for senior executives, clients, attorneys, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive matters.Support client relationship and business development initiatives, including meeting coordination, client information, events, gifts, and other relationship-management activities.Maintain trackers, workflows, checklists, contact information, and other tools that keep the executive support function organized and running efficiently.Identify opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and take on additional operational responsibilities.Work collaboratively with a global administrative support team to ensure seamless coverage and communication.Responsibilities For Senior Executive Assistant – Global Private Equity Practice8+ years of experience providing high-level executive or senior administrative support.Experience supporting a Chair, CEO, Managing Partner, Partner, C-suite executive, or other senior leader in a demanding professional environment.Law firm, private equity, financial services, consulting, or other professional services experience preferred.Experience managing high-volume, complex and frequently changing calendars.Comfortable coordinating domestic and international travel and working across multiple time zones.Naturally proactive and preemptive — someone who thinks ahead rather than simply waiting for the next request.Excellent executive-level communication skills and the confidence to interact with senior leaders, clients, attorneys, and other high-level stakeholders.Strong judgment, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive information.Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability.Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and composure in a fast-paced environment.Experience with projects, workstreams, trackers, process coordination, or cross-functional initiatives.Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills; experience with Teams, Zoom, workflow/collaboration platforms, and emerging technology or AI tools is a plus.A solutions-oriented “figure it out” mentality with the ability to independently assess a situation, determine next steps, and move things forward.
