About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on PR & Communications professional to strengthen ASUS Malaysia's media presence, brand reputation and corporate storytelling.This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and lean team environment. You will independently manage PR initiatives while working closely with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, business teams, media, agencies and other external stakeholders.We are looking for someone who can turn business and technology stories into compelling narratives, build strong media relationships and take ownership from planning through execution.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, technology reviewers, KOLs and relevant industry stakeholders.Develop and localise press releases, media statements, key messages, talking points and other communication materials.Proactively identify PR opportunities and secure meaningful media coverage, interviews, product reviews and features.Develop compelling corporate, brand and product stories relevant to the Malaysian market.Support executive communications including speeches, presentation content, talking points and event scripts.Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, identify potential reputation issues and coordinate appropriate responses when required.Plan and manage PR activities for product launches, media briefings, press conferences and other corporate events.Work closely with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing and other internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across communications and marketing activities.Manage PR agencies and external partners where applicable and ensure timely, quality execution of campaigns.Track PR performance, media coverage and campaign outcomes and recommend opportunities to improve brand visibility and communication effectiveness.Support corporate reputation initiatives including awards, CSR/ESG communications and strategic partnerships when required.RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Mass Communications or a related field.Around 4–6 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Brand Communications or Media Relations.Strong understanding of the Malaysian media landscape, with established media relationships being a strong advantage.Excellent English writing, editing and storytelling skills, with good command of Bahasa Malaysia.Proven experience developing press releases, media materials, corporate content and communication messaging.Experience managing media engagement, product launches, PR campaigns or corporate communications projects independently.Strong stakeholder-management skills and comfortable working across multiple functions and with senior stakeholders.Hands-on, proactive and able to take ownership with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.Strong judgment, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Agency and/or in-house corporate PR experience will both be considered.Experience in technology, consumer electronics, IT, gaming or other consumer brands will be an advantage.Chinese language proficiency will be an added advantage.What You Will GainHands-on ownership of PR and communications for a leading global technology brand.Exposure to media relations, technology/product communications, corporate reputation and executive communications.Opportunities to work cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, Digital and regional/HQ stakeholders.Direct exposure to major product launches, media engagement and high-impact communication initiatives.
