This one isn’t. You’ll be in the room for real business decisions across a legal fintech startup, a legal services company, and a couple of smaller ventures — coordinating with founders, engineers, sales teams, and an accounting team. If you’re the kind of person who gets bored doing pure admin but doesn’t want the 60-hour grind of a Chief of Staff title at a bigger company, this is the sweet spot: high trust, high variety, real ownership, still home for dinner most nights.WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DORun point across 4 businesses — attend meetings on the founder’s behalf, take real notes (not minutes — decisions and owners), and chase follow-through until it’s doneBe the connective tissue — coordinate directly with the accounting/bookkeeping team, sales reps, and outside vendors so nothing falls through the cracks between companiesOwn the project tracker — keep Monday.com boards current, flag what’s stuck, escalate what’s actually urgent (and quietly kill what isn’t)Manage the founder’s time like it’s a scarce resource — calendar, travel (points/FHR optimization a plus), meeting prep, inbox triageHandle the 20% — some personal logistics: travel, scheduling, occasional errands and household coordinationBuild the systems — templates, SOPs, and light process so the founder isn’t re-explaining the same thing to five peopleYOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU’VE…Spent 3+ years supporting a founder, executive, or small business owner — bonus points if it was across multiple projects or entitiesRun a project to completion without needing someone to tell you the next stepSat in a meeting, understood what mattered, and followed up without being askedWorked with or alongside an accounting/bookkeeping function (you don’t need to be an accountant — you need to know how to talk to one)A bias toward “I’ll just handle it” over “who’s supposed to do this?”NICE-TO-HAVESExperience in legal, fintech, or startup environmentsFamiliarity with Monday.com, QuickBooks, HubSpot, or similar toolsA genuine interest in travel/points optimization (you’ll get to use it)COMPENSATION$90K–$120K base depending on experience, plus performance bonus tied to specific projects (not vague discretionary points). Full benefits.HOW TO APPLYSend a short note (not a cover letter) on the messiest project you’ve ever untangled, and what you did about it. Resume optional if the note is good.
