Senior Executive - Finance

We are looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Senior Executive, Finance to take overall responsibility for the company’s finance activities. The role will work closely with the Managing Director and management team, providing financial insights, coordinating finance-related activities, and supporting selected corporate and administrative matters.This is a broad role suited to someone who is comfortable operating in a lean organisation, managing day-to-day finance activities while also supporting management in areas such as HR, procurement, banking, legal matters and business analysis.RESPONSIBILITIES Take overall responsibility for the company’s finance activities, ensuring effective and timely execution of financial operations.Coordinate and manage finance-related activities, including accounting, cash flow, payments, budgeting, financial controls and reporting.Prepare financial analysis, management reports and business insights to support management decision-making.Monitor the company’s financial position and provide regular updates on key financial matters, risks and variances.Support the Managing Director on HR-related matters, including coordination and administration of employee-related activities.Support management on selected corporate matters, including legal, procurement and banking facilities, as required.Liaise with external parties such as banks, auditors, professional advisers, suppliers and relevant authorities when required.Prepare and maintain weekly inventory risk reporting across all inventory categories, covering inventory valuation, expiry, obsolescence, excess and slow-moving inventory, with timely identification, assessment and escalation of significant inventory risks to management.Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting and business reviews as requested by management.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is an added advantage.Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably with experience in a commercial or SME environment.Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, cash flow management and financial analysis.Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights.Comfortable handling a broad scope of responsibilities and working independently in a lean organisation.Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and external parties.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with experience in SQL Accounting and other ERP systems considered an added advantage.High level of integrity, attention to detail and accountability.
