The group primarily engages in businesses related to aviation, shipping, freight & logistics, renewable energy, hospitality & leisure, Fisheries & Agriculture and strategic investments in the region.About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented finance professional with proven experience in accounting and financial operations to join our team as Senior Executive – Finance.ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage day-to-day finance operations, including payments, receipts, bank reconciliations, and accounting entries across multiple entities.Manage and review intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and shared services accounting activities.Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.Review and maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely and accurate updates in ERP systems and principal reporting platforms.Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial schedules, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, collections, and payment activities, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding matters.Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and other departments to resolve financial, billing, payment, and accounting queries.Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analysis as required.Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, supporting documents, and responses to audit queries.Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of finance operations.Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the finance function.Perform other finance-related duties and special projects as assigned by management.QualificationsPart-qualified or fully qualified in AAT / CA / ACCA / CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the logistics, maritime, or shared services sector. (Experience in the shipping industry will be an added advantage.)Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP systems.Experience handling multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and shared services finance operations.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred SkillsExperience in the shipping industry.Experience handling multi-entity accounting.Experience in shared services finance operations.
