Senior Executive - IT

Job ObjectiveWe are looking for an application developer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail. The role will be responsible for development, customisation, maintenance, integration and support of NAV and LS Retailapplications used across our retail business.The ideal candidate should have good practical knowledge of NAV C/AL development, LS Retail POS, SQL Server, database development and API/integration development. The role will work closely with business users, IT teams and external vendors to ensure applications are stable, reliable and meet business requirements.Principle AccountabilitiesTake ownership of the stability, availability and support of LS Retail/NAV applications and POS systemsDevelop, customise and deliver NAV/LS Retail enhancements and solutions within the agreed timelinesDevelop, maintain and support APIs and integrations with internal and third-party applicationsManage SQL development, database troubleshooting and data integrity to support business applicationsEnsure all application changes follow IT change, testing, security, deployment and documentation standardsWork closely with business users, IT teams and vendors to understand requirements and resolve application issuesIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and optimization of retail applications and integrationsProvide effective production support and troubleshooting to minimise business disruptionKey Performance IndicatorsApplication Stability & Availability: Maitnain reliable and stable NAV/LS retail applications with minmum business disruptionIncident resolution - resolve application and prdocution issues within agreed SLA timelinesDevelopment Quality - Deliver NAV/LS Retail developments and enhancements with good quality and minimal defectsProject & Integration Delivery - Deliver application enhancements, APIs and integrations within agreed timelinesIssue Reduction - Identify root causes, and reduce recurring application/production issuesDatabase Perforamce - Maintain good SQL/database performance, reliability and data accuracyIntergration Reliability - Ensure APIs and system integrations are stable, secure and functioning as expectedChange Management Compliance - Ensure all changes are properly tested, approved, documented and deployed as per IT proceduresCandidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or a related field5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamicas NAV/LS Retail development and application supportStrong hands-on experience in Microsoft NAV/LS Retail and C/AL/C/SIDE developmentExperience in Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, database troubleshooting, and data analysisStrong experience in SPI and system integration development including REST APIs, JSON/XML and web servicesExperience in Python development/scripting for automation, data processing and application integrationExperience in production support, toubleshooting, and resolving application issuesPast experience in the retail industry is highly preferresRelevant professional certifications are preferredCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsGood understanding of software development lifecycleAbility to work independently and manage multiple application issues/projectsGood communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work with business users, IT teams and external vendorsStrong ownership and problem-solving mindset
