Senior Fabrication Lead - Laser & Brake Press

We’re a growing engineering and manufacturing company based in Guelph, Ontario. We specialize in custom assembly and manufacturing solutions. Currently, we are seeking a Laser/Custom Fabrication Lead to take a leadership role within our custom fabrication team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on fabrication experience who is ready to take ownership of a department, lead a small team, and help grow our fabrication business.The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing CNC laser programming, laser cutting and press brake equipment, coordinating fabrication work, managing employees, ordering materials, supporting quoting and customer relationships, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and profitably.Key Responsibilities· Fabrication & ProductionProgram, set up, and operate CNC laser cutting and press brake equipmentRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work ordersSelect appropriate materials, tooling, and programs for each jobPerform machine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshootingInspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and qualityPlan and coordinate fabrication jobs to meet production schedules and customer requirementsDetermine material requirements for upcoming jobsOrder sheet metal, tooling, and other materials required for production· Team Leadership & ManagementLead, train, and coordinate other fabrication employeesAssign daily work and prioritize jobs based on production requirementsMonitor employee performance, productivity, and quality· Customer RelationsCommunicate with customers regarding fabrication requirements, job details, timelines, and specificationsAssist with preparing quotes and estimating material, labour, and machine timeIdentify opportunities to increase fabrication work and develop new customer relationshipsBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing customersExperience/Qualifications3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, laser cutting, press brake operation, or a related manufacturing environmentStrong experience operating and setting up CNC laser and press brake equipmentPrevious leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferredExperience training or directing other employees is an assetAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work ordersStrong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, tolerances, and fabrication processesExperience with material purchasing and job planning is an assetExperience with quoting, estimating, customer service, or job costing is an assetTrade school, machinist, fabrication, or related technical training is an assetCompany Culture:At Brandelle Industries Ltd, we are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all employees and applicants, regardless of their race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
