About the roleDelight International Facilities Management LLC (DIFM) is looking for an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to take ownership of Hard Services engineering operations across our Abu Dhabi contracts. This is a senior, in-charge position: you will be the technical backbone of engineering delivery, responsible for keeping MEP, HVAC, BMS, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems compliant, reliable, and performing to SLA across a multi-site portfolio. You will lead a team of Facilities Engineers and field technicians, work closely with the General Manager on performance reporting, and act as the primary point of engineering accountability for our client contracts.This role suits a hands-on engineering leader who is equally comfortable on-site diagnosing a system fault and in a management meeting presenting monthly performance data, someone who treats technical compliance as core to the job and can keep a team focused under SLA pressure.What you’ll doEngineering planning and delivery • Lead PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) planning and execution across MEP, HVAC, BMS, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems • Own reactive and breakdown maintenance response, ensuring all works are closed within contract SLA timelines • Review and approve technical submissions, method statements, and subcontractor scopes of work before executionTeam leadership • Supervise and direct Facilities Engineers and field technicians on daily site operations, allocating resources and prioritising work across competing demands • Coach and develop technical staff, addressing performance gaps and building bench strength within the engineering team • Coordinate subcontractor works on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherenceCompliance and permits • Manage permit-to-work systems for engineering activities, coordinating with the HSE team on site safety protocols • Ensure engineering works comply with CICPA, ADDC, Civil Defence, and other applicable UAE FM regulatory authorities • Maintain audit-ready technical documentation for statutory and client compliance requirementsReporting and systems • Log, track, and close work orders through DIFM’s in-house FM management software, maintaining accurate PPM and completion records • Prepare monthly engineering performance reports for the General Manager, covering SLA performance, compliance status, and operational risksWhat you bring • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering • Minimum 7 years of Facilities Management experience, including 3+ years in a senior engineer role within the UAE • Strong, current technical knowledge across MEP disciplines: HVAC, BMS, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems • Solid working knowledge of UAE FM regulatory frameworks, including CICPA, ADDC, and Civil Defence requirements • Proficiency in FM management software (CAFM) and digital reporting tools • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage subcontractors in a live, multi-site operational environmentWhy join DIFMYou will step into a role with real operational authority, direct engineering accountability across an active portfolio of Abu Dhabi contracts, and a clear reporting line to senior leadership.
