Senior Facilities Manager – Life SciencesLocation: Greensboro, North CarolinaWork Type: Full-time | On-site, Monday–FridayTravel: Very limited to no travelAbout the RoleBoden Talent is partnering with our client to recruit an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead facilities operations at a flagship Life Sciences headquarters in Greensboro, NC.This is a senior operational leadership position with responsibility for both hard and soft facilities services, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with the high standards expected within a regulated Life Sciences environment.The successful candidate will combine strong facilities management expertise with proven people leadership, vendor management, financial oversight, and client relationship skills.What You'll DoLead and manage the on-site facilities team, including training, development, performance management, coaching, and recruitment.Coordinate daily facilities operations, establishing work schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring operational priorities and deadlines are achieved.Oversee both hard and soft services across the site, maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational performance.Manage facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and improvement works in partnership with technicians, vendors, and contractors.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a senior point of contact for facilities-related matters and resolving escalated issues.Develop and manage operating budgets, variance reporting, and significant capital projects.Conduct facility inspections and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, asset performance, service delivery, and overall site standards.Support the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety procedures.Develop and manage vendor relationships, including procurement, invoicing, purchase orders, contracted services, and project-related labor.Lead and resolve complex technical and operational challenges, considering their wider impact across the facility and organization.Review and improve existing facilities processes, procedures, and operational standards.Provide visible leadership and create a culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What You'll NeedBachelor's degree preferred, with approximately 5–8 years of relevant facilities management experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.Valid driver's license.Facilities Management certification is preferred.Previous experience leading Facilities Management operations within Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, or another regulated environment is highly desirable.Strong understanding of both hard and soft facilities services.Proven experience managing and developing teams, including recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and retention.Ability to communicate sensitive or complex information effectively and manage challenging operational situations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams and deliver against operational targets.Experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and capital projects.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgets, variance reporting, percentages, and other facilities-related financial calculations.Why Consider This Opportunity?This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Management leader to take ownership of operations at a high-profile Life Sciences headquarters, leading a multidisciplinary team and playing a key role in the performance, safety, and continuous improvement of a critical client environment.Boden Talent is supporting our client throughout the recruitment process and welcomes applications from experienced facilities leaders looking to take the next step in their career.
