Metropolis is focused on redefining physical spaces through data-driven insights and modern automation, creating smarter, more responsive environments.Role Description The Senior Facility Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Cleveland, responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of Metropolis facilities in the region. This role manages building systems, vendor relationships, and service contracts to ensure reliable performance and compliance with applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include coordinating maintenance activities, supervising facility staff and external service providers, monitoring budgets, and optimizing space utilization to support business needs. The Senior Facility Manager also develops and implements facility policies, leads projects for upgrades or improvements, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align facility operations with Metropolis’s technology-driven environment and growth plans.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in facility management, building operations, and maintenance oversight within commercial or technology-driven environments.Strong skills in vendor management, contract negotiation, and service-level monitoring to ensure cost-effective, high-quality facility services.Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with experience implementing compliance procedures and risk mitigation practices.Ability to manage facility budgets, track expenditures, and contribute to long-term capital planning and cost optimization.Proficiency in using facility management software, building automation systems, and basic data analysis to inform operational decisions.Effective leadership skills with experience supervising teams, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and customer service.Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional certifications (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) are a plus.Experience managing multi-site or complex facilities in a fast-paced or high-growth organization is highly beneficial.
