Senior IT Faculty / Senior Faculty – Information TechnologyDepartment: Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Applications Experience: 7–10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Up to ₹8 LPA, About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and academically strong Senior IT Faculty to join our institution. The ideal candidate should have 7–10 years of teaching experience in a college/university or higher-education institution and possess strong capabilities in teaching, student mentoring, academic coordination, and departmental responsibilities.Candidates who have previously worked as a HOD, Program Coordinator, Course Coordinator, or in any academic leadership role will be preferred, though HOD experience is not mandatory.The candidate should be equally comfortable with classroom teaching, student guidance, academic administration, and other institutional responsibilities.-Freshers need not to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & AcademicsDeliver engaging and effective lectures for UG/PG students in IT, Computer Science, BCA, MCA, or related programs.Conduct practical/lab sessions and ensure effective curriculum delivery.Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, question papers, and assessments.Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant industry practices into teaching.Maintain academic standards and contribute to curriculum improvement.Student Mentoring & GuidanceMentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.Supervise student projects, internships, seminars, presentations, and research-oriented activities.Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.Support students in developing technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Academic AdministrationCoordinate day-to-day academic activities of the department/program.Assist in timetable planning, examinations, assessments, academic documentation, and departmental reporting.Coordinate with faculty members, management, university representatives, and other departments.Take responsibility for assigned institutional and departmental activities.Support accreditation, quality initiatives, academic audits, and other compliance-related activities where required.Leadership & Departmental ResponsibilitiesMentor junior faculty members and support faculty development.Take ownership of departmental activities and ensure timely execution.Contribute to admissions, workshops, seminars, industry interactions, placements, and institutional events.Act as HOD/Program Coordinator or take up similar leadership responsibilities when required.Demonstrate the ability to independently manage multiple academic and administrative responsibilities.Research & Professional DevelopmentEncourage research, innovation, publications, conferences, and industry collaboration.Guide students and faculty in research/project activities.Participate in seminars, FDPs, workshops, conferences, and other professional development initiatives.Keep abreast of current developments in AI, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Full Stack Development, and other relevant IT domains.Educational QualificationPreferred qualifications include:BCA / B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related disciplineMCA / M.Tech / M.E. / M.Sc. / M.S. in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplinePh.D. / Ph.D. Pursuing in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or a related fieldPh.D. / Ph.D. pursuing candidates will be preferred.Experience7–10 years of relevant teaching/academic experience in a college, university, or higher-education institution.Experience in teaching BCA, MCA, B.Tech, M.Tech, Computer Science, IT, or related programs.Prior HOD / Program Coordinator / Academic Coordinator experience is preferred but not mandatory.Experience in student project guidance, academic coordination, and departmental administration will be an advantage.Desired SkillsStrong subject knowledge and teaching ability.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong student mentoring and interpersonal skills.Good academic and administrative capabilities.Ability to lead and coordinate faculty members.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage teaching and administrative responsibilities simultaneously.Professional, disciplined, approachable, and student-focused attitude.Working knowledge of current IT technologies and industry trends.Ideal Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is not limited to classroom teaching but can contribute broadly to the institution.
