Senior Fashion Brand & Apparel Product Development Consultant

We’re Hiring: Senior Fashion Brand & Apparel Product Development ConsultantThread & Purpose is a new Dubai-based clothing brand currently being developed from the ground up.We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Fashion Brand & Apparel Product Development Consultant to guide the development of our first collection and help establish the complete product-development process for the brand.This is a founding-stage role. The selected candidate will work closely with the management team, providing practical guidance and knowledge throughout every stage—from collection planning and fabric sourcing to sampling, costing and production.Our initial direction focuses on premium everyday essentials and contemporary casualwear for men and women, including oversized T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, coordinated sets and women’s stretch garments.Key responsibilities:

• Help define and structure the initial product collection
• Guide the team on how an apparel brand moves from concept to production
• Develop original garment concepts aligned with the T&P brand direction
• Prepare detailed tech packs, technical drawings and measurement specifications
• Recommend and source suitable fabrics, GSMs, trims and garment finishes
• Support pattern development, grading and sample creation
• Lead fit sessions and provide clear sample correction comments
• Coordinate with factories, fabric suppliers and trim suppliers
• Review construction, fit, quality, shrinkage and fabric performance
• Support product costing, MOQ planning and production timelines
• Establish practical product-development systems, templates and approval processes
• Train and guide the internal team throughout the development journey
• Attend supplier meetings and factory visits when requiredWe are looking for someone who:
• Has minimum 5 years of practical apparel product-development experience
• Has helped develop collections from concept through to bulk production
• Has strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, patterns, fitting and manufacturing
• Can create and review professional factory-ready tech packs
• Understands sourcing, costing, MOQ planning and quality control
• Has experience in premium casualwear, streetwear, knitwear or athleisure
• Can explain the development process clearly to a team entering the fashion industry
• Is comfortable working in a hands-on founding-stage environment
• Has strong factory and supplier communication skills
• Is currently based in the UAE and available for local meetings and factory visitsExperience with Adobe Illustrator, Excel, CLO 3D or other pattern and apparel-development software would be an advantage.
