He / She should have strong modelling skills & is experienced in using simulation tools to solve complex engineering problems & prove the hypotheses. Correlate the actual application conditions into simulation models. Use best practices & knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Works independently & able to guide others.Mandatory Skills Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, and fatigue evaluations of components and assembliesHands-on experience with Ansys and HypermeshDevelop and validate simulation models using tools such as Ansys, Optistruct, or similar platformsConduct mesh sensitivity, convergence studies, and validation checks to ensure model accuracyPrepare technical reports and presentations for engineering and leadership teamsDesired Skills Working knowledge of fatigue life estimation using nCode or Hyperlife or FKM guidelinesKnowledge of CAD Tools (SolidWorks) / space claim is a must.Experienced in FE meshing.Strong fundamentals of structural mechanics, elastomers and polymersKnowledge of optimization tools (e.g., optiSLang, Optistruct)Opportunities for Growth Advanced Simulation Projects: Take ownership of complex structural and Multiphysics simulation initiatives, driving innovation, design reliability, and performance improvements across product development programs.Deepen Technical Expertise: Build advanced capability in FEA modelling, nonlinear analysis, fatigue, and Multiphysics simulations by developing, validating, and correlating models using lab and field data for high-confidence predictions.Strengthen End-to-End Simulation Capability: Enhance proficiency across the full CAE workflow—pre-processing, solving, post-processing, validation, and automation—leveraging tools like Ansys/Hyperworks and scripting (Python/APDL) to deliver efficient, scalable solutions.Expand Engineering Standards & Domain Knowledge: Gain deeper exposure to industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.), material behaviour, and manufacturing processes to ensure robust, compliant, and production-ready designs.Drive Integrated Engineering Impact: Collaborate closely with Design, VAVE, and Testing teams to influence product decisions, reduce cost, and accelerate time-to-market through simulation-led insights.Position yourself for advancement into Lead Engineer / Sr. Lead roles, with opportunities to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to Simulation CoE strategy and capability development.Required Qualifications
- Master’s in Mechanical, Thermal, Automotive
- 3-6 years of professional experience in FEA Domain
- Strong command over hand calculations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
