Senior Field Service Engineer – MV Drives & Soft Starter SystemsWe are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and Soft Starter systems across industrial and energy projects worldwide.The successful candidate will provide on-site technical expertise, lead field activities, and ensure the reliable operation of critical electrical drive systems for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will:Perform installation, commissioning, startup, refurbishment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of Medium Voltage Soft Starters and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) systems, including:Voltage Source Inverters (VSI)Load Commutated Inverters (LCI)Applications for pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipmentProvide rapid response and technical support for emergency repairs and field service interventions.Deliver technical guidance and training to customer personnel on the operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of drive systems.Diagnose complex electrical and control system issues and implement effective corrective actions.Lead and supervise on-site teams, contractors, and skilled technicians during project execution.Prepare accurate technical reports, service records, inspection reports, timesheets, expense reports, and customer documentation.Coordinate material requirements, quotations, and field execution planning activities.Ensure all work is executed in compliance with company and customer HSE requirements and industry best practices.Maintain a strong safety culture while delivering high-quality technical services.Provide detailed outage and maintenance reports to support future reliability and asset performance improvements.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 7 years of field service experience in industrial electrical systems.Proven experience with:Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)Medium Voltage Soft StartersIndustrial motor control systemsCommissioning and troubleshooting activitiesPreferred ExperienceStrong expertise in VSI and LCI drive technologies.Previous experience supporting applications involving:PumpsCompressorsTurbine starting systemsHeavy industrial processesExperience managing field projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, control systems, and rotating equipment applications.Candidate ProfileCustomer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organisational and project management capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in demanding environments.Committed to delivering high-quality service while maintaining the highest safety standards.Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel in Saudi Arabia up to 80% of the time.Valid driving licence.Flexibility to work remotely and at customer sites worldwide.Strong commitment to HSE and operational excellence.Location: Saudi Arabia Experience: 7+ Years Industry: Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Industrial Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-TimeThis role offers the opportunity to work on critical industrial assets and cutting-edge drive technologies while supporting major energy and industrial clients worldwide.
