Senior Field Service Technician – SterilizersPhiladelphia, PASummaryThe Sterilizer Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical sterilization equipment used in healthcare and laboratory settings.This role ensures that sterilizers—including steam autoclaves, low-temperature, and other infection-control systems—operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.The technician plays a critical role in supporting patient safety, infection prevention, and uninterrupted clinical operations by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring proper sterilization performance.ResponsibilitiesComplete repair service work, and preventative maintenance on sterilizers, washers, and ultrasonic cleanersResolves issues with medical equipment and keeps detailed records of all work-related activitiesPerform preventative and repair maintenance including disassembling, replacing or repairing defective parts, rewiring and reassembling as required on medical equipmentPerforms equipment installs and de-installs as necessaryProvides customer support of equipment repair and trouble-shootingCleans, prepare parts and assemblies for service & refurbishingWorks and interacts with current and prospective clients, other employees, sales representatives, vendors, medical personnel, guests, and visitorsWork with equipment to meet regulatory requirementsExperience At least three years of relevant hands-on experience servicing sterilizers and washersExperience servicing equipment from: STERIS, Getinge and BelimedExperience performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in hospitals with substantial operating room activityBenefitsCompany-provided vehicle with a fuel card, maintenance, tire service and rental coverage when needed20 days of paid time off annuallyEight paid holidaysMedical, dental and vision insurance with a Health Savings Account (HSA)Accident, critical illness, life and disability insuranceLegalShield membership optionsTuition and education assistancePaid technical certifications annuallyCompany-provided tools and test equipmentCompany-provided laptop, tablet and/or phone for service documentation
