Senior Finance Executive

Role:One of our clients is looking for a Senior Executive - Finance based in Dubai. This position will report to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance and internal financial controls for assigned entities within the group.Key responsibilities:Overall accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial control for assigned entities within the group, including:• Managing end-to-end accounting and ensuring timely monthly and annual closing of books inline with IFRS.• Reviewing, verifying, and posting accounting vouchers in the ERP/accounting system.• Preparing standalone financial statements and assisting with consolidated financial reporting and management reports in local and reporting currencies.• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of financial records.• Ensuring timely compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory requirements,including coordination with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and governance requirements.• Ensuring accurate revenue recognition and monitoring accounts receivable, customerreconciliations, impairment assessments, and collections.• Reviewing payroll accounting, employee benefits, incentive calculations, and statutory provisions.• Reviewing payment proposals and ensuring appropriate verification and approvals.• Supporting treasury activities including cash flow planning, bank reconciliations, and banking documentation.• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and managing capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.• Coordinating with outsourced accountants and remote finance teams for timely bookkeeping and reporting.• Supporting ERP implementation, system migration, automation, and process improvement initiatives.• Performing other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.Required skills:• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, and financial reporting.• Good understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and statutory compliance.• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics or similar).• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.• Strong integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.Desired knowledge & experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field; and• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is mandatory.• 2+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in UAE.• Experience in handling multiple legal entities and consolidated reporting.• Knowledge of multi-currency reporting.• Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement initiatives preferred.
