Using precision farming technology, we produce fresh, high-quality, hyper-local produce closer to the communities and businesses we serve.Our footprint spans multiple markets, and we work with leading partners across foodservice, hospitality, retail, and other sectors to create better, more sustainable ways of growing and consuming food.Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Executive to take ownership of BoomGrow’s finance function, covering financial reporting, accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance.The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have strong technical accounting knowledge, and be comfortable taking ownership of finance matters from day-to-day accounting through to year-end accounts, audit, taxation, statutory requirements, and financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingTake ownership of the company’s overall accounting and financial reporting activities.Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accounts are complete and accurate.Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations.Review financial transactions and accounting records to ensure accuracy and proper classification.Monitor the overall financial position of the company and highlight significant variances or issues to Management.Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning.Audit & TaxTake ownership of the company’s audit and taxation matters, including preparation, submission, and follow-up of relevant requirements.Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, financial statements, and other materials required for statutory audit.Manage the annual audit process and ensure audit requirements are completed accurately and within the required timelines.Prepare and manage corporate tax computations, tax submissions, and related documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements and identify potential tax risks or opportunities.Stay updated on changes in accounting, tax, and statutory requirements and assess their impact on the company.Internal Controls & ComplianceEstablish, review, and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.Identify gaps, risks, and discrepancies in existing finance processes and implement appropriate improvements.Develop and maintain finance SOPs, policies, and documentation.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial and statutory matters.Monitor compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes and transactions to identify potential issues or control weaknesses.Finance Operations & Team SupportProvide guidance and support to the existing Finance team overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Review AP, AR, reconciliations, and other finance activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion.Work closely with Management and other departments on finance-related matters.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and bring more finance activities in-house.Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by Management.What We’re Looking For4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related field.Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting, audit, taxation, and statutory compliance.Candidates from audit firms or with internal audit experience in small or growing companies are encouraged to apply.Experience handling finance functions independently, from month-end closing through to year-end accounts, audit, and tax matters.Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with Management and different departments.Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional accounting qualification or relevant certification is an advantage.Why Join Us?Own the Finance function: Take a key role in building and strengthening BoomGrow’s internal finance capabilities.Make a direct impact: Help bring accounting, audit, tax, and financial processes in-house and build a stronger foundation for the company.Work closely with Management: Gain broad exposure to the business and play an important role in financial decision-making.Grow with the business: Take on increasing responsibility as BoomGrow continues to scale.
