Position: Sr. Manager Finance – Logistics & Transportation Experience: Minimum 7 Years Qualification: CA / ACCA / CMA (Qualified or Finalist Preferred)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Manager Finance to support the finance function of a UAE-based logistics and transportation company while working remotely from our Islamabad office. The role will provide strong financial oversight across logistics operations, fleet management, transportation, warehousing, customer contracts, budgeting, reporting, cost control, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial and operational finance experience and will work closely with UAE-based management and operational teams to ensure financial discipline, profitability, and timely reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & ReportingLead end-to-end financial management and commercial finance support for logistics and transportation operations.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by business unit, customer, route, fleet, and service line, including revenue, cost, and profitability analysis.Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.Prepare and present detailed financial reports, dashboards, and insights to senior management.Budgeting & Cost ControlDevelop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash-flow forecasts, and financial models for logistics and transportation operations.Implement robust budgetary controls and monitor variances with actionable insights.Ensure proper allocation and monitoring of fleet, fuel, maintenance, manpower, subcontracting, warehousing, and other operating costs.Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising project delivery timelines.Internal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks across finance and logistics/transportation operations.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and audit readiness.Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.Operational Finance, Costing & ERP ManagementEnsure accurate fleet/route/customer costing, operating margin analysis, and cost-to-serve analysis.Oversee ERP systems to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and real-time financial visibility.Drive automation and process improvements in finance systems and reporting.Taxation & Regulatory ComplianceManage UAE VAT, corporate/income tax, withholding tax where applicable, and other tax and regulatory matters relevant to the business.Ensure timely filings and adherence to regulatory requirements.Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate closely with operations, fleet management, procurement, warehousing, commercial, and customer-facing teams.Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies where required.Key RequirementsStrong experience in logistics, transportation, fleet, supply chain, warehousing, or related service-sector finance (preferred).Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for large-scale operations or multi-location businesses.Expertise in financial reporting, project accounting, and cost control mechanisms.Hands-on experience in designing and implementing internal controls frameworks.Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and regulatory compliance.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred ProfileHands on experience of working on logistics or transportation-related operations.Prior experience with Big Four or reputed audit firms will be an advantage.
