Senior Finance Officer

Role Description The Senior Finance Officer is a part-time role based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities with some work from home. The role involves overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, managing financial reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal policies. The Senior Finance Officer will monitor budgets, analyze financial performance, and provide clear financial insights and recommendations to leadership. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, improving financial processes and controls, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting the association’s mission with sound financial management.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Statements skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger management.Candidates should possess solid Financial Reporting skills, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret reports for leadership and stakeholders.Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, enabling data-driven insights, variance analysis, and performance evaluation.Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information in an accessible way.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) are an advantage.Demonstrated experience in a senior finance or accounting role, including responsibility for reporting, compliance, and financial controls.Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheets, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently and in a diverse, mission-driven environment.
